A 1,500-point PPA Cup, five pro draws, and a three-division workload

February 2026 put the sport's deepest fields on display, and IANONI ambassador Lingwei Kong was right in the middle of it — logging a full three-division schedule at one of the PPA Tour's most prestigious early-season stops.

The Carvana Mesa Cup ran February 16–22, 2026 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona. As a 1,500-point PPA Cup — the richest event of the early season and roughly 50% larger than the prior stop in Cape Coral — it drew the tour's top professionals across five pro draws. For a competing pro, a Cup of this size means longer main draws, tougher early-round matchups, and zero room for a slow start.

Lingwei's Mesa Cup: Three Divisions, One Standard

True to form, Lingwei entered all three core disciplines — a schedule that tests recovery, adaptation, and focus across a full week. Here is how each bracket played out:

Women's Doubles
Partnered entry
Round of 32
Women's Singles
Solo bracket
Round of 32
Mixed Doubles
Combined bracket
Round of 64

Reading the Result the Right Way

On paper, a Round-of-32 exit can look quiet. In context, it isn't. At a 1,500-point Cup, the Round of 32 in women's doubles and singles means surviving qualifying and early seeding just to reach that stage — and the field behind those rounds is stacked with top-20 and top-30 talent. Doing it in two singles-based brackets plus mixed, across seven days, is a workload most pros deliberately avoid.

The Grind Is the Story

Lingwei didn't protect a ranking by narrowing her entries. She showed up for everything — and that's the competitor IANONI wants in the family. Big results are built on exactly these weeks: the ones that don't make headlines but sharpen the player.

What Mesa Says About the IANONI Athlete

Versatility Under Load

Three formats in one week demands a game that bends without breaking. Our gear is built the same way — one paddle philosophy, every scenario.

Compete Where It's Hardest

A 1,500-point Cup is where the season's separation happens. Lingwei chooses the deep end. So do we.

Process Over Headlines

Not every week ends on the podium. The ones that don't are still reps — and reps are how contenders are built.

"You don't measure a season by the weeks you win. You measure it by the weeks you keep showing up — every draw, every day."    — LINGWEI KONG, IANONI AMBASSADOR

The 2026 Campaign Rolls On

Mesa was an early, heavy chapter in a busy 2026 PPA calendar for Lingwei. The weeks that followed — Newport Beach, the Texas Open, Sacramento, and Atlanta — kept stacking the reps that turn a full schedule into a breakthrough. IANONI is there for all of it.

  • Feb 16–22, 2026
    Carvana Mesa Cup (Mesa, AZ) — 3 divisions: W. Doubles R32, W. Singles R32, Mixed R64.
  • Spring 2026
Newport Beach Open → Veolia Texas Open → Sacramento Open → Atlanta Championships — a continuous run of PPA main draws.

As the season builds toward its majors, the work Lingwei puts in at events like Mesa is exactly what separates the consistent from the occasional. That's the standard IANONI builds for — and the one our ambassador keeps chasing.
